You don't need to own a farm to shoot pheasants, but it does mitigate inheritance tax. Which looks more bad?: Clarkson told Times in 2021 that avoiding inheritance tax was “the critical thing”. Today he insisted the real reason was because he wanted to shoot but thought it would look bad.

Surprised that I have reached the point where I feel safer cycling here Chester, UK than I do walking on pavements, which now seem to be the extended territory of delivery & trades vans, taxis, other bikes & parking cars. To be fair e-bikes here mostly stay on the roads & the e-scooter trial failed.

Whetherspoons "red plate mystery". I went in Spoons today & first plates I saw were red so I asked them. They are just getting new plates in that are red instead of blue. I like to think a signal of Tim Martin changing his political allegiance.
