I’m putting together a creative survival kit: notebooks filled with unfinished thoughts, unwritten stories, and my life in vignettes. If the internet breaks or becomes overpoliced, I’ll still have my words—offline, unfiltered, and harder to delete.

Listening to How They Broke Britain and honestly, it’s brilliant. Sharp, steady, and scathing in all the right places. It’s like someone finally pointed at the mess and said, “Yes, this—look properly.” Thank you, @mrjamesob.bsky.social

Two granddaughters are in the house today. “Visiting” sounds far too civilised—one’s finished preschool, the other’s full of sniffles. Fingers crossed, she’s better by Sunday, or Disneyland Paris might feature more tissues than tiaras.

I always ask for British English in my Claude prompts. It never happens, so a poem... I love you, Claude, I really do, But must I always ask times two? "British, please"—I beg, I pray, Yet "color" shows its face each day. One prompt should do, it's not obscure: The u in favourite should endure.

I swore I’d start the day with purpose. Instead, I started with putting bread in the toaster. Planned marmalade. Remembered diabetes. Then remembered toast isn’t exactly low-carb either. So now I’m just standing in the kitchen, rethinking my entire morning.

I made a to-do list this morning and immediately felt accomplished. Then I stared at it, made coffee, and considered adding “stare at list” just so I could tick something off.

Birthday well spent: 63 today; celebrated with Ruth and my granddaughters, a cinema trip, and lunch. Their handmade cards? Absolute masterpieces of stick-figure art. I don't know if I should frame them or submit them to the Tate Modern.

@emmachaloux.bsky.social Poetry, writing, photography, birds, music, coffee, pronouns & being a parent are things I admire. Scorpio has me on the fence—no, off the other side! ENFP is interesting; I seem to float between ENFP and INFP. Never more than 54% E or I, depending on when I take the test.

I’ve all but bid farewell to X. It’s like leaving a party that stopped being fun ages ago—but I’m keeping my account alive, just in case. Who knows? Maybe one day, Musk will be forced to sell, and we’ll wake up to a new dawn. Until then, you’ll find me here, enjoying the fresh air. 🌱

Apparently, I'm a Sage gram.ly/sage

@lucyworsley.bsky.social Thank you for unstitching that embroidered theory about the Bayeux Tapestry being a tapestry.
