very relieved to hear a loved one has been approved for the ndis. I proposed the application, supported, cajoled & funded 16 months of appointments, letters, forms, bureaucratic wrangling… what a mess. without resources (financial, social, cultural), you won’t get in.

this but unironically. while full scale invasion won’t happen, some level of aggression is plausible. but aggression is costly to both sides, and a benefit cost question for china. if australia is friendly to china - eg not tied at hip to its peer rival - not much for it to gain from aggression
