Finished building the inner frame of this In-Era Lizard kit and I’m pretty impressed so far. It’s by the highest quality engineering I’ve encountered in a non-Bandai mecha kit.

Pretty impressed with this In Era Lizard kit so far. Molding work has been great, good use of undergating, and the nubs clean up well. Even the gold plating effects look nice, and the couple of spots that needed touch up blended nicely with the gold Stedi marker I picked up awhile ago.

There’s something delightful about introducing my eight year old to the FPS genre via Dark Forces. Watching her gleefully run around blastering Stormtroopers with her Princess Peach controller. It’s never too early to teach them how to handle fascists.

Finished my first and second builds of the year tonight. Particularly enjoyed the Gundam Base clear color version of the SDCS Grandpa.

Well, after two episodes Gundam Wing seems like it’s going to be much more of a slog than G Gundam was. The mecha designs are decent, especially for the grunts, but the plotting is insanely nonsensical and self-serious with none of the goofiness that makes G enjoyable.
