I can't say it better than this. 🖤 "It [American strength] doesn’t come from our gold reserves, bitcoin stashes, minerals, stock markets, weapons, or money. American power comes from America’s values and ideals. American power comes from American idealism." open.substack.com/pub/stevesch...

These are good mindfulness ideas too. Just looking out a window can be an enriching experience. 💛 #mindfulness psychologymeetscopywriting.substack.com/p/how-slow-l...

I like this reaction. "You deserve not to be offended by me "

I wish I had seen this

It's a great place to find classic TV shows, old movies, and regional music.

We all remake ourselves for the circumstances. Sometimes it takes a little longer. A few years ago I figured in my fifties I’d be writing weird novels and walking on the beach. Now I’m basically preparing to be a white-haired one-eyed apocalypse refuge elder in armour made of old car panels.

Hear me out: it’s time for America to be sealed under a giant mysterious dome

So true

When Tim Walz said that jd vance was weird, he was just doing that Minnesota thing where you know you need to be truthful but also trying to not be too mean, so you sorta split the difference.

Here's a screenwriting truism that explains a lot of soft Trump support to me: It's really hard to dislodge an audience's first impression of a character. People have him in their head as '80s business guy or The Apprentice boss, and nobody -- including himself! -- has been able to undo that.

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

Magnificent 😍

Interesting, I'll have to check this out. The art looks like the doodles I used to make during long work meetings. I'd bring colored pencils, and I'd quote a research study about how doodling helped people retain information while taking notes. I'm not sure that my boss believed me. 😏

Reposting so I'll read the whole thing, and know where I saved it, because brain fog/sixtyish brain fail. I like baking with rye, because I have a slight wheat allergy. It's difficult though, because it doesn't have much gluten, so I make a sourdough starter, which takes forever and it's messy, etc
