I find it interesting to see my money candle is little to no soot while my reverse action candle has very dark soot at the top, but down halfway is clear. Going to keep an eye on how it'll look when seven days is up.

in addition to "discomfort does not equal harm" I wish people also realized that sometimes (actually, most of the time) if there's something uncomfortable in a narrative, it's supposed to be uncomfortable. yes, even if its "romanticized", the author usually trusts you understand it's uncanny.

tbh I prefer wtc's interpretation of the afterlife/mwi to be far more comforting than simply just being stuck in some eternal heaven/hell after death. to find solace in knowing that even if I died , a higher version of myself continues to exist, and they continued to make more stories about me.
