It's a launch day for a new console, a new Nintendo console at that, and seems like the reaction is kind of "meh" overall. I'm sure some are excited and that's of course awesome, but the insane hype you saw with original Switch or the PS5/Series, just isn't at that level this time around.

Nope. I've raged but I'm not breaking a damn thing. That's just wasting money and that shit is expensive. 🤣

If someone gave me one million dollars, I'd have one million dollars.

Any time a lactose intolerant person is presented with a cheese dish, knowing full well what the result will be.

Adobe may be increasing it's individual sub pricing to almost $800 a year? I'm glad I learned DaVinci Resolve over a year ago. It's free with most tools and 1080p output. Full version is $300 with free upgrades. Plus Affinity Photo to replace Photoshop. I'm good to go!

I started college and started working at Funcoland, around issue 80. If you don't know, GameStop didn't create Game Informer. The store FunCoLand did. Funcoland was bought by GameStop and they took ownership of the magazine.

The entire archive of the Game Informer magazines is now complete. It's also totally free to browse too. Game Informer has been able to digitally backup every single issue. You can find it here: www.gameinformer.com/magazine-arc...

The future is bleak. Not because people will believe this is real, it's because some will attempt to do this stuff. 🫩

After all this time, finally finished Celeste. Great and challenging platformer with a nicely told story. There's still a ton more to do but I'm good for now.

Have been in a financial crisis for months and it's starting to get really scary given my recent health issues and medical expenses... would anyone like to bring me on as a freelance writer/copyeditor? I'm doing edits for one of my favorite writers right now, I'd love to help more people 🥺

If I were rich, I would consider this. If you recognize this, you know what's up. 😂

Good morning, everyone. I have a question to ask: Does anyone know of any good personal nurses/medical aides in the DC area? If so hit me up and let me know their info. It would be greatly appreciated because I am trying to help a close friend out ASAP. Thanks in advance. God bless.

Every time 😅

Damnit. 😂

I think I may buy that starter pack for the Magic the Gathering: Final Fantasy. It's only like $25 bucks. No idea if I'll stick with MTG but the cards will be just fun to have in general.

I seriously miss content creation and covering games. Yet, next year as long as things work out, I should be in a position to do big things. Just sucks getting emails and seeing cool indie games, but knowing I can't do anything with them right now. So, having to pass.

As I get more used to Linux, I don't fear the terminal as much. It's nice to have control over my OS. No spyware too. Of course, it has its own set of issues. It's not some amazing fix-all. Yet, so far it's been a positive experience.

This is kind of crazy to say but I think my games are running better on Linux Mint than they did Win11. Not just FPS wise. Things open/close faster. Plus just feel smoother. Only issue is with Marvel Rivals but it's minor and doesn't effect gameplay.

Down 30 pounds. I don't think I look that different but I do feel it. A lot of flexible and more energy. A long way to go. Yet, already feel a lot better than before, for sure.

Now on Linux Mint, I decided to run a benchmark with Cyberpunk 2077. Honestly, I'm impressed. I have a Ryzen 7 5800x, 32gb Ram, and a 4070 Super. First image is Ultra. Second is Ray-Tracing Ultra.

Recently, I purchased that Destiny 2 Light & Darkness DLC pack. I wanted to jump back in after years of not playing. With everything going on with Bungie right now, I just can't do it. Refunded it on Steam. I rather put that money towards something else. Like Expedition 33.

Decided to make Linux Mint my daily driver. Bazzite and CachyOS were cool, but ran into issues. Mint, simply, just works. Which is good for a Linux newbie like myself. Getting things setup and learning as I go. Will test some games too, to see how well they run.

Kept working on the Linux distro Bazzite. It's feeling more "normal" now. So far, things are pretty smooth. Still can't get Affinity Photo to work. Which is a huge bummer. Yet, there's always GIMP. Games running well. Marvel Rivals never went below 90fps. Other games, just work. Impressed.

When my 4tb drive arrives, I may switch Bazzite with Mint. Just to test and see how I like it. I do like Bazzite though. Yet, daily driver also means ease of use of editing programs and streaming. Not just gaming. So, want to see which one I'm more comfortable with.

Happy Mother's Day!

This Bazzite linux distro is pretty cool. Fairly easy to use and beginner friendly. Yet, still had to do a lot of tweaking in terms of it not auto mounting drives and nvidia nonsense. Plus disappointing that @Affinity photo doesn't work. There's a work around but it's a pain.

Wow! Hell yeah!! Good luck to you guys!

One good thing about dual booting Windows and Linux - Since Windows is just for work, booting into Linux will feel more like I'm logging into a separate PC. It may sound silly but when you WFH, little distinctions like that make a difference.

If this account reaches 1k followers by the end of the year, I'll dedicate a day to posting nothing but gaming memes. I do that anyway but like...more than usual. 😂

Getting out and touching grass is good for you.

Ok, tweaked a few settings. Benchmark looked a ton better and no artifacts. Not bad!

Ran the Cyberpunk 2077 Benchmark on Linux. Not bad! Saw a little artifacting but I can tweak that.

Wow, didn't know this game had a commercial. I remember renting this from the video store and completing it in one weekend. #retrogaming

I got marvel rivals working. Averaged 100 fps. Still needs a lot of tweaking but making progress. Still feels choppy in places. Yet, a lot better.

Well, got the dual boot going. Windows is all set. Yet, today I'm going to work on Linux. Trying out Bazzite distro.Feels slow for some reason. Most likely a setting or something

valnet offered me a contractor position at polygon, roughly a week after it laid off most of the team. if you know me at a personal level, you know how much i've wished for an email like this for the past decade. but this isn't the polygon i fought for. i didn't think twice about declining the offer

I don't even play Magic the Gathering and I want this special Final Fantasy deck. 🤣

The last couple years of gaming have been great. Be it adventure, cozy, RPG, JRPG, action, etc. Especially in the indie or AA space. So much to try out. Heck, this year alone has been solid. If you can't find anything to play, well that's more on you than anything else.

Add another to my, got to play it later pile. Just no time. I still want to play Metaphor, Expedition 33, and Monster Hunter Wilds. After I pay off this new SSD I got, I'll try to re-up my game pass for PC.

Happy May 9th or as it's also known as, Goku Day! #anime An officially recognize day by the Japanese Anniversary Association. Why May 9th? The date is read 5/9 in Japan. 5 and 9 can be read as "Go" and "Ku" in kanji. So, a silly little play on words. youtu.be/eB5NhkMhEZw?...
