Well this is pretty terrifying

Omg, it happened. I don't know if it will stick, but my Trump supporter friend just admitted he made a mistake. I'm still skeptical whether he will stick with this, but at least for now he sees how this chaos is tearing the country apart.

This! I don't understand how anyone can think the richest man in the world doesn't care about money

Is anyone else thinking that all this talk about Greenland, Panama, and Canada is too crazy to be serious and that Trump is just trying to distract us from something else? What are we not focusing on that we should be?

WHY does this not matter?!?!

Well, as long as he pinky swears 🙄

Let me get this straight. Musk and Ramaswamy, 2 unelected bureaucrats, want the power to reshape government agencies because they're upset the agencies are run by unelected bureaucrats. Do I have that right?

This isn't hyperbole. Trump says on his campaign website that he plans to bypass Congress on spending decisions and it's part of Project 2025's plan to consolidate power. www.americaamerica.news/p/trumps-acc...

"..they simply soft peddled it or outright ignored success after success allowing the MAGA counter messaging to fill the void. A vacuum cannot exist in nature and when truth is ignored untruth will easily fill the gap. It did and we are all worse for it." My latest: open.substack.com/pub/fpwellma...

Elon might be persuadable by facts, unlike the rest of maga. Unfortunately when DOGE starts slashing programs, former officials like Pete will not be around to provide rebuttals and Elon will just believe the lies that people like Don Jr tell him.

Even if Trump wasn't lying about knowing about Project 2025, he was always in bed with the people who wrote it. He's already nominated several key authors to his cabinet and now JD Vance is sponsoring a bill to begin to implement it.

Ah yes, surely one of the main takeaways from #MeToo was that if police didn’t arrest someone for a sexual assault, then the sexual assault didn’t happen. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

“Many voters headed to the polls convinced that border crossings are higher than ever before (they are not), violent crime rates are rising (untrue) and inflation is soaring (ditto). We will never know how much this garbage may have swayed voters…” www.nytimes.com/2024/11/20/o...

"What I Saw on the Campaign Trail." These two paragraphs — by John Avlon, a former journalist turned Democratic candidate in New York's 1st Congressional District— come closer to describing legacy media's portion of the blame than just about anything I have read. www.thebulwark.com/p/what-i-saw...

They say we lost because we lost the working class. In reality, the working class lost their hold on the truth and voted against their best interests based on misinformation and disinformation. Mary Trump nails it here:

So the House would release the Ethics report on Gaetz if he was still a Member, but since he’s been nominated to be the chief law enforcement officer for the US with control of every federal law enforcement agency, investigation, and case, they will hide the report. Makes sense.

When you've lost... the co-founder of The Federalist. Matt Gaetz probs.
