UK can start fixing welfare & disability by fully funding NHS, adding staff to work with individual needs addressing problems so people can function. Provide childcare so people can go to work. Etc. An upfront investment to SHIFT & reduce welfare costs.

-IF- you believe taxes fund govt (that's not how it works, but IF) - why not do this: Raise taxes on wealthy & large corps (plus wealth taxes), sufficient to pay off govt bonds over time. Each year reduce those taxes and add public services (because interest payments and rates drop.)
