He/Him [0-0] <B3S> Used to be an artist, mostly work with wood now, my day job is fixing wooden things, maybe lipstick on a pig to some, but I see it as a small way I can keep waste out of the landfills. My apologies, I don’t reply to DM’s.

Hey, just a quiet reminder: it’s not true that people get more conservative as they age. *Populations* get more conservative as they age because poor and marginalized people die sooner. nymag.com/intelligence...

Making chopsticks again. Every time I rebuild the jig, eventually I’ll make an easy to adjust jig that I will keep. Started doing these with a hand plane but due to the unpredictably of some wood I found it’s better to use the saw. I even tried riving but not much success.

Always grateful that we have this place. Lord knows where we will end up, seems like every social site enshittifies eventually as they grow and get $$$. I’m happy to support, so long as it stays free for those who can’t afford to, and keeps true to its vision. Thank-you @jay.bsky.team

So are the stocks going to tumble when people realize there is still a 100+% tariff on China and most other Country’s tariffs are also unchanged? Not like we buy much from China anyway. Look at that Apple stock go! Good thing they don’t get anything from China. Are the penguins still at 10%?

Maybe manufacturing should move to Canada. Come on up Apple! We don’t have a 125% tariff on China, or whatever it is this day/hour.

Damn He caved already. I was just setting up an investment account to buy some Apple shares. Ah well, I will probably get my chance again in 90 days.

I mean isn't this exactly the way the Japanese car industry succeeded in the US, by producing small and economy cars when we weren't?
