Ug. Got an email from the Army two-star confirming that our command has been asked to confirm a list of probationary employees. I’m pretty sure we have some in our building. Typically these are young engineers that start out as contractors and then get picked up by the government. Not good. ☹️

In an odd paradox, I find I’m spending most of my social media time on Twitter because I have that set up to where it’s 90% sports. It’s better for my mental health than watching the death of democracy play out here and on Facebook. 😢

I work with a group of Army civilian engineers. I know of at least three that are taking the deferred separation (or whatever they are calling it today). There may be more. That’s scores of years of experience walking out the door. One of them is heading to expat life in S.America. Good move.

It’s been awhile since I got out for one my parking lot movement breaks. I’m still feeling the effects of being sick but I got out there. I said after my last one that I needed to extend it a bit to reach a half mile. Nailed it!!
