I truly believe that we were better off when most people got their information from "a very special episode" than from social media.

I've got one day to find a way to eat all of these eggs before they go bad or else I'm basically out a sixty bucks.

Any talking head or Republican who goes on TV to defend Musk's Nazi salute should be asked if they are willing to do the same motion live on air right there.

This morning I failed to convince my significant other that Ralph Fiennes's first name isn't pronounced "Ralf." She argued, if it isn't pronounced "Ralf" then why is it spelled like it should be pronounced "Ralf," and I didn't really have a good rebuttal.

If you ever needed a reminder that whether you sit in front of a computer or wield a hammer, labor is labor. Once the capitalists thinks they have they upper hand, they'll stab you in the back.

It's a weird experience to have watched a music video where a guy strips his skin off and think, "Thinks looks dumb and the song sucks.". And then twenty-four years later, you're inundated with commercials for this same pop star that claims he's the biggest thing in the world and he's a monkey.

I wish I could remember where I read this argument before, but in grad school I came across an essay that notes that post-modernists "coincidentally" started attacking authenticity at the same time that more women and people of color gained influence in the humanities. Seems relevant right now.

At last year's end of year writing department meeting, we had lecturers talk about how they have been handling AI. One said that he embraced it and claimed that if we're going to consider diversity of perspectives in writing classes, then AI should be one of those perspectives.

Just the other day, I ran into a guy who thinks the original Grinch cartoon is all right, but the Jim Carrey remake is a stone cold classic. He's so committed to Jim Carrey's Grinch that he refuses to watch the most recent animated full length. It's a wild world out there. Merry Christmas!

Just learned from a student that to fulfill his science requirement, he took a course where they watched films and shows that featured characters with disabilities and just wrote response papers. It galls me that this course is not being taught by someone from the humanities.

Reader, I bought it.

BREAKING: Autonomous anti-genocide activists bring the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to a grinding halt after blockading the McDonald’s float for a second year in a row. “Those grinches who thinks they can disrupt the parade: it’s not going to happen,” Mayor Eric Adams said yesterday.

The Musk/Trump Gestapo will wear armbands emblazoned with the crying-laughing emoji.

If you have some extra insulin lying around, then I know a guy.

Captain: I'm really nervous about giving this speech. Sun, rubbing his shoulders: Don't worry, big guy. You got this.

Apparently I have a tick where after a student answers a question, I follow up with "Why?" because just as I asked the follow up question, another student said "Why?" simultaneously. They cracked the code.

I barely remember this series, but the opening theme song is seared into my memory.
