pretty sure my natal promise is to follow in Enya's footsteps [retreat to a remote castle to wear historically-informed garments and create ethereal art while maintaining a stunning level of personal privacy and singing to the wind]

okay so this was a fascinating read and also has me thinking about aspects (bc i am thinking A Lot about aspects lately, for reasons) 1) classical aspects are about sight-lines. a clear line of sight makes for a clear target, a clear connection. but interference of different sorts matter.

if astrology is an art form, then it's useful to think about how the artistic voice is developed with time & practice. with things like painting & poetry, the format of the pastiche is an important part of study, honing skill & knowledge towards eventual creation of one's own artistic voice. 1/4

my favorite expression of Neptune in Aries so far (including the Venus & Mercury conjunctions, all happening in tight aspect to my Asc) has been realizing how much i enjoy disturbing fiction, entirely thanks to Jeff VanderMeer's Southern Reach series

aspects become easier when your understandings of the planets, signs, & houses are solid. at the same time, studying aspects helps deepen understanding of the planets, signs, & houses

Hello—Is A River Alive? has been adapted as Radio 4’s Book of the Week next week. Five episodes, read by me—& we’ve folded in field recordings & some beautiful Max Richter music. First episode, Anima, broadcasts tomorrow at 11.45am. You can listen here: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

only take for granted that which you are willing to lose

studying aspects in astrology is like planting something in your garden that won't bear edible fruit for a few years but that you have to include in your initial plans anyway.

Embracing astrology is dispelling the illusion of ultimate autonomy. You can control how you react to a thing, sure. Your awareness of the thing coming can help you choose a different road of expression of that planetary energy. But it can’t completely obviate what that astrology is.

when it comes to astrological study + practice i'm becoming more and more convinced that step 0 / step ∞ is refining & strengthening one's cosmology + worldview

Pisces belongs to Jupiter AND Venus. Pisces is where we find the lovers, the artists and the mystics. Venus brings an element of warmth into the watery depths of Pisces that allows connection to take root, creativity to flourish and devotion to take precedence.

i've been engaged in planetary relationships for over half a decade and tbqh Venus has taught me more about individuation + differentiation than any other planet

trying for one final push on this as this time (hopefully) comes to a close for us. much gratitude for everyone who has shared and donated so far 💖 www.gofundme.com/f/help-a-tra...

Happy May 1st. The value of your labor belongs to you and the actions of the state are best understood as as a coordinated effort to distract you from this. The state fears an organized and unified proletariat like it fears death and rightly so. Power to the workers and power to the people
