Almost certainly the best thing I was ever told about owls was when I met an owl handler and he said that the wild owls near the sanctuary where he worked worried about the tame show owls there and sometimes stopped by to leave them shrews and mice as presents.

I just learned that Hal Lindsey died last week. Perhaps you've never heard of him, in which case I envy you. He was one of those end-time preachers that taught that the rapture was eminent. And back in the 70s my mother was enthralled by him.
