I often use my melodic overdubs to try weird chords and harmonies. During final editing and mixing, the chords usually stay, but many of my weird harmonies just prove distracting. I keep some, but then I also say: "Damn it! The real melodies sound better!" & then I have to pitch-correct them.

I really like Bluesky, but lately I'm getting little engagement here. When I first started it was a ghost town. Then when Elon went crazy there was a big surge, but now it's quiet again. Meanwhile on Threads I often get 100-1000 impressions on single "tweets." Guess I gotta keep doing both!

Just found out one of my oldest (yet somewhat distant) friends passed away. Jim was at my public kindergarten & first grade. When my Mom switched me to Catholic School and I was alone and scared in the yard, she said: "Look who's here!" and there was Jim's smiling, squinting Hawaiian face!

Accidentally food poisoned myself and felt like crap all day, then slept a fitful 14 hours. I thought it was the heat! And when you sleep that long, your dreams become linear and detailed. I dreamed I was putting on a play and was trying to license an SNL song from Lorne Michaels.
