"I didn’t want the mayor to blow up the city like he mentioned many times; I just wanted him to fix the old bowling alley like he promised in passing once. Anyone saying I’m partially responsible for the explosions is just a sign that they have no argument."

I do not believe in any tech product where the devs want us to view it with some form of religious awe, a divine gift redefining human experience and bequeathing knowledge unto us humble land apes. I believe in a tech product where the devs are like “this is handy for planning breakfasts”

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Where Nazis infiltrate the government and feed people's personal data and social media history into an algorithm which generates a list of real and potential enemies to be purged using AI-guided weapons 2014: I sure am glad that's fiction 2025: Welp...

This reads like the opening paragraph of a novel so bleakly dystopian you'd put it down after five pages

I love this so much! At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions. This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

So the worst genre is definitely dystopian nonfiction

When someone says their company needs more masculine energy what they are saying is they don’t value women.. especially in leadership roles. And when their company is already 2/3 men the statement is so ridiculous I was shocked it wasn’t an onion article.

Sums it up nicely.

Kinda funny, but not.

#EmbarrassmentInChief 🤮

@jay.bsky.team any thoughts on Aaron Goldman's (self proclaimed architect of ATProto) story about being fired because of asking for parental leave?

John Roberts is very upset that the public has lost confidence in John Roberts and the institution John Roberts leads following a series of confidence-cratering actions by John Roberts and his colleagues, and therefore would like everyone to know that this is not John Roberts' fault, it's yours.
