She/her. 🏳️‍⚧️ I like metal (mostly black and death metal, but I try to listen to all kinds). There’s a lot I don’t know but I’m trying to learn it. I just like to yap. If I block you, it’s nothing personal.

Black metal is about frolicking through the forest and looking at pretty flowers.

If there is any justice left in the world, this will never happen

How tf do you create a list on here?

Black Sabbath’s best album overall imo, and their most emotional. Ozzy’s vocals are at peak form here. The riffs are classic Sabbath, the solos are some of their best, and there’s a lot of cool touches with synths and acoustic instrumentation. A must-listen album. #metalaky

I think it would be cool to do a death metal topster next. Maybe keep with the Sweden theme. Then the only question is whether to include Swedish melodeath bands or not. Might save that for a future melodeath topster instead, we’ll see

A Swedish black metal overview. 54 albums, representing a wide range of sounds and years. No particular arrangement of artists after the top row. Definitely not comprehensive (there’s a LOT more Swedish black metal out there), but hopefully this makes a good starting point. #blackmetalsky

I think at this point more people believe the “wholesome cuddly metalhead” stereotype more than the “violent Satan-worshipping metalhead” one tbh. Neither is completely true or false overall, of course, but I’ll take the former

What are your top 3 death metal/black metal albums?

One of the things I love about black metal is how unprofitable it is. The trver it is, the harder it is to make marketable outside a relatively small cadre of weirdos who seek out extremity. It’s not a genre one plays for the money, but for the love of the music.
