President of Evil Hat. Barely here, but less barely than the other places. Liberal in my politics, reposting, and use of the block button. Please consider NOT following me if you don’t know me; trying to carefully manage parasociality where I can.

As I wind down a series of projects, I'm putting it into the universe that I will have openings in my schedule for cartography/illustration work. I have decades of experience, a long client list, and I love this work. Check out my portfolio and reach out. Let's make your thing. brianfnpatterson.com

Love Sentinels. I've got (nearly) everything in the SotM line (except for the big box), and I'm counting the Ra crossover/expansion for the Dresden Files boardgame.

When I say that I am saddened by what has happened to my friends at GTG, I don't know if I'm getting that across. They are and have always been wonderful folks. I've had a version of this sign on the entry to our gameroom for as long as we've been living here.

Sentinels of the Multiverse remains my favorite co-op game after all these years. I think it's as foundational to the genre as stuff like Arkham Horror. The RPG is an underrated gem too. A refinement of the best ideas from Marvel Heroic.

I am very thankful that there are new episodes of Leverage so I can watch some bad guys get consequences.

FFS I got death threats about making Optimus Prime the wrong kind of truck when I wrote the TRANSFORMERS movie. Do the job or get out of the way.

Okay, enough glooming. We should remember what was great about Greater Than Games (and continue to play their stuff). Those experiences will stay with us no matter what. If you’ve enjoyed playing or working with GTG over the past many years—tell us about it!

I don’t wish my levels of anxiety on anyone (and bless my staffers who have stuck with me despite the delights that offers from the sidecar), but my anxious risk-averse ass led me to run Evil Hat for a long time with “too much” money in the bank account

The game industry is propped up by dreams more than anything. Lotta dreams getting crushed today and for the foreseeable.
