Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo (CECOT) Lord God, whose blessed Son our Savior gave his body to be whipped and his face to be spit upon: Give us grace....

Does that blonde presidential press lady who flaunts a cross on her breast understand that THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS is a commandment from the Lord?

"nor shall any person ...be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law...." I urge Americans to review the 5th amendment of our Constitution (a portion of which is quoted above). Notice that it refers to ANY PERSON, and NOT to any CITIZEN. Non-citizens get due process.

βš“οΈ An idle question: When I was a vicar or rector, my practice was to offer the Liturgy on every day for which the Prayer Book had a collect. Why is it so difficult to find daily Eucharist during Holy Week? (And why do people supercede the proper Liturgy with Tenebrae, however lovely it may be?)

This from George Tekai on another site: Let’s be clear. When the President defies the Supreme Court, it is the role of Congress to remove him from office. Full stop.

Some years the story of Holy Week seems much more immediate. #holyweek #christianity #bible #jesus #episcopalians βš“οΈ

βš“ I got up this morning and said MP from the 1979 Prayer Book. The I tuned in to the Palm Sunday liturgy online from New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine. (The sung Passion Gospel was beautiful.) Then Patrick Malloy preached the most stunning Palm Sunday sermon ever. I just listened again.

My idea of a meal: spinach and arugula. boiled potatoes, lamb chop.

this morning's reading from Jeremiah gave me more hope than I've had in a long time. My learning is this: I feel like one who is in exile. Jeremiah's prayer is for my captors. I wish well even on my hated captors. May this heal my vitriol. I don't have it in me.

βš“ I just stepped into my back yard. I looked up at the waxing moon. As happens every spring, I felt that paschal excitement growing inside.

We just had low flying, loud, fighter jets over Long Beach. I hope it was entertainment practice for the Grand Prix, and not just another whako presidential power display.

My deepest feeling, before I sleep, is thankfulness for Dr. Kamjoo, whom I'll SEE in the morning. I've had detached retinas in both eyes, and he has truly saved my sight. I'll get up at 5 in the morning to DRIVE to my appointment. Without the skill God gave him, I don't know how I'd br.

This is because I watched and heard these preschoolers sing to my mother, as my sister and I watched.

This 75 year old gay man has been through many sad times: Vietnam, September 11, Covid19, (and others that we might share), but these Trumpian atrocities are the saddest I've ever been. It's not the money, but it is THE LOSS OF our civil and national MORALITY. I am so very sad.
