Do you know what feels really good? Going to the doctor’s office & saying “no thank you” when the nurse asks if she can get your weight. And, she says simply, “okay” & doesn’t make a big deal about it. You can also say that you prefer to speak to the Dr. first, or ask for a note in your chart …1/2

Friends, if I say COVID rates are relatively low, I'm not suddenly a minimizer. Levels are still way too high, I still mask indoors, and long-term effects of repeated infection look worse every day. But we do need to understand what shapes surges, be it season (kinda), viral evolution (yes), etc.

It’s now been 8 hours since I arrived in hell 🔥 (the local ER department where people are coughing and hacking w/ a full waiting room, a handful wearing baggy blues and I’m the only one in an N95). No idea how many more hrs it will be until I’m called in to a bed.

I have entered hell. Inside the busy waiting room of a E.R. One patient wearing a baggy blue 😷, two with them pulled down under their chin. I’m the only one wearing an N95 respirator. Glad I tested negative for COVID yesterday, so I can blame the hospital if I leave here sicker than I came in.
