1/ The @naturescot.bsky.social Scottish indicators were published last week. The data, a lot from @[email protected] from 94-23, show how Scottish birds are doing in different habitats. Woodland birds are doing relatively well, but upland birds are in decline. www.nature.scot/doc/official...

It's very easy to use the BirdTrack phone app to report dead birds. This information is used for monitoring purposes. It's also really important the record is submitted to Defra (Eng, Scot, Wales) or Daera (Northern Ireland) for possible collection and testing. We really appreciate all the records.

A new blog by BTO’s Máire Kirkland and Chris Hewson looks at their research tracking Nightingales.➡️ bit.ly/NightingaleB... They found birds breeding in the UK overwinter in a very small area of West Africa so show an unusual degree of migratory connectivity. @springernature.com #Ornithology
