The anti-transgender political ads that ran in 2024 were rarely challenged by Dem candidates, and the few who did waited far too long to do so. The result -- those unchallenged images and messages became "fact" even to many on the left.

More than ever, it is important to use the tools we have to protect yourself.

Be smart. Stay safe.

@rephaleystevens.bsky.social as one of your constituents I want to know what you were thinking in voting for this. Thanking ICE now? Do you think this will help in your run for Senator?

Just as it is up to us to keep true history alive in the face of the administration's attempts at erasure, we must spread the truth of this moment in the face of lies by those same ppl. The history our children will learn happens today.

Even when researchers took steps to reduce bias, it still happened. Not completely surprising since AI learns using historical data.

Instead, uncomfortable wht ppl in power are trying to erase the fact that slavery and Jim Crow even existed. Or if it did, that it wasn't "too bad."

Deepfakes are a threat to democracy by the disinformation they spread. We're all susceptible when the message is something we "hope" is true. Protect yourself and your community by checking and double-checking sources before you share videos and images.

While there's been a lot of emphasis on ICE, discussions about build-ups in other areas of law enforcement have been largely absent. This is a great explanation of why. As a volunteer in the police divest/invest and end mass incarceration movements, I'm ashamed to say I hadn't even noticed.

Black students fought for this space in the 70's. “It's one of the oldest culture centers in the country,” Reynolds said. As institutions bend their knee, it's up to us to keep true history alive.

"It’s “the visceral sense of waking up in an alternate timeline with a deep, bodily knowing that something isn’t right – but having no clear idea how to fix it”, Harfoush tells me"

When someone equates that sky-palace with this lady, remind them of the facts: 1. Congress approved the gift of Lady Liberty 2. She was a gift to the people, not the government or elected official. 3. She remains accessible to the people as a national park/monument www.poynter.org/fact-checkin...

Sharing history that others try to erase is RESISTANCE.

This Supreme Court ruling is a critical step to ensure due process for all people and proves once again that President Trump is not above the rule of law. Court after court continues to recognize the President’s agenda for what it is - unlawful.

Sharing as a respite to all the madness. Normally I shoo geese away because of the poop. But there were already eggs in the nest when we discovered it. Just happened.

I watched the video, which was heartbreaking and infuriating. This adds another layer as the reporter shares what the officers were saying to each other, the woman, the crowd, and the reporter. There was NO WARRANT.

Another reason it is up to us to share the truth the admin wants to erase -- to keep it alive and part of our collective consciousness.

Please read, like and share -- preferably from the original @emergentjustice.org post. Thanks.

Grief & Solidarity Days is an invitation to join in decentralized grief gatherings to sit in backyard circles, gather in libraries and living rooms, hold vigil in public parks, and allow our sorrows to connect us. we were never meant to carry it alone. Link in comments to learn more

Do you think she isn't also the Senator of the ppl commenting here? Please tell me what actions Our Senator that you think were good? I am honestly curious.

Another aspect of "when America was great" -- no chance at upward mobility; manual labor as the only option for most; education and opportunity reserved for the rich.

@thedailyshow.com I seriously hope you ask her about her constituents who are VERY disappointed in: 1) how long it took her to do anything except vote for cabinet appointees;

This! To roll their eyes at his other "theories" but not question this report shows their own biases.

Keeping our sense of humor is a coping mechanism

February22, 1943 Eighty two years ago today, Sophie Scholl was executed by guillotine for leading a student resistance against Hitler. She was 21.

Hey, Michiganders! Please like, share and join us on the 29th to educate for important funding . And if you can't make it, is there someone in your circle that can come in your place? More info and register at: my.linkpod.site/adv0429

I completely agree. Unfortunately, most wht ppl (me included) were able to grow up in the illusion. Many have never learned it was just an illusion. I think that is why the wht resistance is divided into those fighting for what has always been and those who want to build true justice.

The second statement reminds me of when white ppl say they can't even try to hear what a Black person is saying until they say it in a "respectful tone." They both demand comfort before any consideration of action. Both are BS.
