Eggs are $7 today at Walmart in Maryland and Trump just said the price just dropped by 50%. We bought eggs in Florida a few days ago at $6.99 at Walmart. Where does he buy his “grocery?” Lying asshole doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. Why do they let him talk?

Elon Musk has no authority to fire any federal employee. Trump doesn’t have any authority to GIVE Elon Musk any such authority. It simply doesn’t exist. As a former Fed, I hope they have sense enough to ignore the bogus threats and stay on the job.

@esglaude.bsky.social I am sooo white-grew up in a white NE town in the 50-60s. Learned bigotry when dad read the paper 1 day & declared the “end of NE football” bec of choosing a Black QB. Later I understood the shame I felt. Nothing re trump brings fury like his racism. We MUST fight back.

@michaelsteele.bsky.social there aren’t thousands of federal employees, there are hundreds of thousands - think national park service, all FBI in states, ag in states, health in states and on and on. The impact on unemployment, food safety, SSA, health! Debacle!! Not just DC.

@jheil.bsky.social There IS some effect from trump’s mess. One example. Most of our over-55 RV park in central FL voted trump. The couple across the st hung a 3’x4’ Trump-Vance banner on front of RV. Day after pardons, it disappeared. Several have gone silent since pardons. I have hope.

@schiff.senate.gov my daughter did not receive her SSI payment yesterday and SSA had no explanation. I am not expecting to receive my social security payment on the third Thursday of this month. What is Congress going to do about this? She now can’t pay rent/food. I soon won’t.

@lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com It’s not just SSA recipients (at risk at treasury), it’s also tens of thousands of former federal workers who get federal retirement (like me). Who knows what those children of Musk’s will do with our info - and more importantly, with our money? I’m terrified.

When trump instituted the Muslim ban in his first term & held them @ airports, immigration lawyers descended from everywhere to help pro bono. Lawyers should do the same for >1000 illegally terminated FBI employees & file wrongful termination suits on their behalf. They will win. Trump will lose.
