I asked DeepSeek/Mistral/OpenAI etc to analyze 20 lines of data, all said I exceeded quota and wanted a paid subscription to continue further. But all of them were happy to write me a Python script to analyze my dataā€¦ weird!

After a few iterations, Iā€™m finding myself getting comfortable using Espressif ESP-IDF. Tons of examples, easy to understand C, fast to compile binaries, easy to test & iterate.

Iā€™ve always found myself amongst the most knowledgeable people at Micro-center. But recently had to deal with a salesman with all sorts of wrong info about the products they sell, I had to stop myself from the urge to correct them multiple times! Good thing is I knew what I wanted šŸ™„

In 3D printing world, BambuLab is a very popular company making some awesome printers. They built on the gains of open source contributions and Bambulabs MBAs now tried to restrict third parties accessing the printer in the guise of security updates. Less than 24 hrs later security module is hacked!

To all the 3D printing nerds, if you didnā€™t know, you can use an old air fryer with dehydrator function (140F/60C) to dry out your hydrated filaments. Cheaper and more efficient than a dedicated desiccator.

Iā€™ve done a fair bit of electrical work at my home, and Iā€™m perplexed at NEC 2023 that prohibits power outlets on the side of kitchen islands! šŸ˜” Who comes up with these wacky ideas, now people will use extension cords again (trip hazard) to operate kitchen appliances on islands.

We thoroughly enjoyed this phenomenon on Royal Caribbean, especially my toddler who has a collection of these ducks now!

Iā€™ve kept out of #embedded C/C++ programming for ESP32 based microcontrollers for the last 4 years, just jumped back in, and it looks like PlatformIO and Espressif are angry at each other! Itā€™s a mess!

Today was one of those days where I (& family) did travel via a ship, bus, train, airplane and car all in one day!

Amazing developer heroes who make it possible for open home automations on #HomeAssistant ! #SmartHome #LocalControl

I am thrilled to announce my new role as co-founder of Freshnox, a forward-thinking startup company that is set to revolutionize kitchen pantry monitoring through the strategic deployment of IoT devices, and I am eager to begin this exciting entrepreneurial adventure.

Sensors are here, Iā€™m all excited to get this going. Still waiting on lipo battery!

I hope GM and Rivian are listening to the reason why people are buying Prologue: CarPlay & physical buttons!

Getting stressed at work, you are fired - India is not for the weak! (anyone wondering this company is ā€œyes madamā€) www.reddit.com/r/india/s/ac...

Do you have SMILES and would like to see a predicted NMR spectrum? You can use this type of URL to obtain the spectra: www.nmrium.org/predict?smil.... Find more information at www.nmrium.org/prediction.

There are two amazing chips made by Texas Instruments that I need for my #IoT project, which requires a US residency to buy! Which means I canā€™t assemble my PCB in China. And all ESP32 chips imported into US has a 25% tariff on it!

I just found out about SLB battery technology with 3min charge time and can be charged/discharged 25k times: ideal for #IoT projects except it pricing of ~$14 for [email protected] nichiconbattery.com/about/

My Ford Mach-E hands-free #Bluecruise is coming to an end pretty soon. $600 over 3 yrs at the time of order. Now it makes no sense paying $495/yr! Iā€™m seriously looking into Comma.ai for some level-2 autonomous driving, its latest stuff is on sale today: comma.ai/shop/comma-3...

For those who donā€™t know, I own a Ford Mach-E EV. I loved the iOS widgets until shortcuts for control center just dropped!

Iā€™ve not seen the official repos of espressif #ESP32 arduino in a while, Iā€™m amazed that there is BLE based WiFi provisioning available github.com/espressif/ar... along with free app (apps.apple.com/in/app/esp-b... or play.google.com/store/apps/d...) #IoT

If you are playing around ESP32-C3/S3 Supermini remember to add/set output power to 8.5dB to reliably connect to WiFi. #IoT #esphome

Iā€™m thinking building a lipo battery based mmWave radar motion sensing device using HLK-LD2410S @ 1Hz and ESP32-C6. Ditching the serial data and directly use OT2 pin data, low to high on motion! #IoT #SmartHome

Itā€™s a reminder for all owners of Bruker Prodigy probes to do an annual pumping of liquid nitrogen transfer lines. Our daily consumption has gone down to 6kg/day. #NMRChat
