Grief really sucks. I miss my dad terribly. I'm okay one moment, and then I find myself in tears the next. I'm just so glad I got my parents to move out to California a few years ago, and we got to spend so much time together right up until the end. So glad that I'm here for my mom through this.

James Rosiak was a thoughtful, acerbically funny man. He was a Vietnam veteran who always put family first. He was a hard worker & a huge laugher. He was a big fan of PBR & Star Trek, often together. He was my dad. He passed away in his sleep last night. He was surrounded by love & is now at peace.

Rough night. Dad's brain lesion caused him to have a severe neurological episode around 2 am. The VA doctor that he'd been seeing had scheduled a brain surgery consult for a MONTH from now! So we took him to the emergency room. He's now getting private care and has a neurosurgery team taking action.

Received absolutely amazing news about my dad today. His brain lesion is small, non-cancerous and easily removable. We’re in the midst of arranging surgery right now, and once it’s done and he recovers, he should go back to his regular old self. Thank you, universe!
