Im a small voice in a big world but if any folks in games are looking into next steps for themselves in their game making journey I'm always more than happy to talk cooperative studio stuff.

Solidarity and condolences to the folks laid off from Marvel Rivals. Thankless, thoughtless, unforgivable institutional betrayal that is now the status quo in our industry. You all have many great things to give the world. You will get back on your feet, to spite the bastards.

Any architecture nerds in my circle? Send me cool buildings by cool people. Need some inspo for better worlds.

Ok lets get into it then. Hi I'm Valentine, I was one of the employees who led most of the walkouts and who was part of the original group pushing for unionization at Blizzard, especially on the WoW team where I worked at the time.

One of my favorite things I recently special interested about - the malicious compliance of Otto Wagner's Vienna Secession government buildings. 'Oh, I will make the most neoclassical building you've ever seen!" (Dont tell them about the other shit)

There's a petition to ban conversion practices (targeting LGBTQIA+ people) in the European Union. We need one million signatures, and we currently have 180,000+. If you live in Europe (even if you don't), spread the word ! 🌈🔥✊ eci.ec.europa.eu/043/public/#...

Solidarity and power to all workers forever. You are the great many doing great things. We run the world.

Dear folks, looking for inspiration and information! Been thinking about kinds of rewilding of man made natural spaces and monocultures - what kinds of processes, projects and attempts at this would you like to see in a post climate world on the mend?

Hey Devs! Anyone with networking experience in UE5 willing to lend some advice or do some consulting with us? Currently researching best ways to approach two clients interacting with a shared entity, with prediction.

there are only 3 kinds of community managers. i will not explain

I gotta say, the scariest narrative tabula rasa I've encountered is working on fiction depicting a radically alternative side-future. I find myself falling prey to the deceptive notion that valid future visions need to be all encompassing, totally above criticism, perfect, elegant - {1/5}

Notes the first few weeks of 2025 from the perspective of running a coop - 1. We put the "ass" in General Assembly 2. Mondays are at risk of being a big meeting/hangout 3. I love these people

Game design is adjusting a billion curves to do something that is simple in abstract but a nightmare under the hood. Stuff like ~ * Building a boat that moves somewhat sanely in UE5 *

Wrapping up the year with a recap of our achievements in 2024: 🙌 Founded our worker-owned cooperative studio 🙌 Received Medienboard funding for All Hands, an undystopian couch co-op about sailing a solarpunk landscape 🙌 Guilherme joined as 5th coop member 🙌 Finished 3 work-for-hire projects (1/2)

Some weather inspiration for our game arrived in the morning

20 years ago we were suing teenagers for millions of dollars because they were torrenting a single Metallica album and now billionaires are demanding the free right to every work in history, so that they can re-sell it. The law only ever serves capital.

Its just funny Im not sharing it for any other reason relating to making our first game as a team

Woah lets go 1000

A heartfelt thank-you message for reaching 50% of our goal! 💕🍉 #DreamsOnAPillow #NakbaStories #gamedev #indiegame

During the pandemic, worker co-ops prioritized supporting their communities and other co-ops. 👷‍♀️🤝🧑‍💼 ● 73% offered discounts or resources to meet community needs. ● 61% worked with local or regional mutual aid networks to meet a community need. ● 60% offered discounts or resources to another co-op.

For those of you interested, one of our members (Alex, on the left) ((me)) participated in a panel on unions, cooperatives, and other progressive labor issues at AMAZE earlier this year :) Lovingly preserved for posterity (that's y'all) youtu.be/RB6RmMTqg5A
