Today's random memory: at our old house many years ago we had a broken overstuffed chair. It was sturdy and well constructed but the seat panel was broken. With the cushion over it you couldn't see that there was an issue, but you'd fall through if you sat on it

Extremely goofy thing: I have always struggled to remember how the cardinal directions are oriented toward each other in the abstract, so instead of using a mnemonic like everyone else I point myself north and image that way is Canada and then imagine the east and west coasts respectively.

The local wild turkey toms sometimes come over and try to lure away our turkey girls, causing a lot of drama along the fenceline. Often the peacocks can't help but get involved, usually ending the kerfuffle when they show off their unfairly huge and glorious displays. 🪶
