I grew up shortly after the EPA started, but I *remember* as a kid. America looked like shit. It was the era of “give a hoot, don’t pollute” and crying Native American PSAs, the there was litter and junk literally everywhere.

Despite all efforts to erase that fight and to diminish their significance, people must defend that legacy from attack.
