I am the most unfamous author you might know. You can buy my book on Amazon ( https://tinyurl.com/3z82tzae ), you know, if you want to read something rejected by multiple literary agents.

So Israel, US and Iran finally had their war, and if everyone is to be believed, everyone won.

I taught my seven year old how to slowclap, and now I'm getting burned every day.

Had a full on panic attack for the first time in a decade. I know what is happening at this point. Though it strikes me now as an argument between my consciousness and subconsciousness. I tell myself everything is okay. But some part of me has decided to abandon all posts and vital body functions.

So North Korea has been taking a more aggressive military posture like it knows something, Russia has created a war footing that will last a few years more amd China is building up forces for a Taiwan invasion. WWIII 2027 it seems. Need to stock up on books and board games is where my mind is going.

It's a fantastic book - download it - buy it - or just borrow it and read it. The Dust Bowl Triolgy are worth the effort.

Rabbit hole for the day: overheard the Austaralian and New Zealand coworkers talking about a pram, which then led to the word perambulator, and then perambulates which is a leisurely walk, or a stroll, which goes to the American word stroller. Conclusion: I must use the word perambulate

My love of reading is strongly link to this man…

As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than working patiently with that shy, awkward, weird student and watching them open up and blossom into a super bizarre, extremely awkward monster.

JUST NOW: “This should be eye-opening for everyone. It is happening in our state.” ICE just detained up to 100 people in Nashville — we’re told at least one says MNPD participated in her detention PRESSER outside the ICE office👇🏽

🎯 @rachelgilmore.bsky.social & @karenattiah.bsky.social singing our song. We deal with the “activist vs. journalist” attack all the time, even from local media here in Tennessee. Call us whatever you want. As Rachel says, we’d much rather be activists than stenographers. Be truthful, not neutral

Before last week, I'd never read "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", but now that I've started, I feel as though Carroll took all the dad jokes he knew and put them into one book. Which makes it fine literature by my standards. And in his honor, I say: the smaller the book, the finer the literature.

WATCH: “Ladies & Gentlemen, this is not about education — it’s about getting property from your school districts to give to these charter schools and hedge fund owners.” @tnrepparkinson.bsky.social calls out the grift in Rep. Mark White and the GOP’s state takeover of MEMPHIS schools.

From the official White House account. The dehumanization is beyond disgusting. They need to make people think Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not human so they can justify treating him like he is one of the monsters they pretend not to be. No human being is illegal. No human being is an alien.

67 percent of Americans report being nice to their AI chat bots. That kind of makes me feel hopeful for mankind.

bleedingcool.com/comics/briti... Lots of what the US has done has made me ashamed, but the dynamics of that shame have only grown.

This is a great summary of Thomas Kinkade www.bbc.com/culture/arti...

youtu.be/k9kmK0St9Jg?... TLDR for a 40 minute video: Musk owns 12 percent of Tesla Shares. Even if it crashes, he stands to make big gains from the access he has in government for his companies like space X, etc. And his shares are much higher in these companies.

And the fragile system of checks and balances begins to crumble. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Years ago I was offered 6 figures for one concert in Israel. I could have used that money. Soon after, I was contacted by fans of mine living in Israel who supported BDS. They asked me to respect the boycott. So I did. As an American, I understand why people want to boycott America. I respect it.

It's really weird how stock bros support, as good for business, a candidate who threatens tariffs and mass firing of federal workforce, and when his schemes materialize, they act shocked that the market falls.

💵 Corbin Trent: “Americans’ purchasing power plummeted by 61% since 1950… every generation since WWII handed a worse deal than the one before it…” Even 2 paychecks doesn’t cover what 1 used to. An under-discussed economic disaster Trump rode to power👇🏽 open.substack.com/pub/building...

I found the discussion in this article of why their results suggest public libraries can deter crime in their immediate environs very interesting. People sometimes hate on Discussion sections, but to me this was an example of how they can be concise and compelling. link.springer.com/article/10.1...

So here's a video in YouTube that has been demonetized for some reason: youtu.be/riX2Ww80Ow0?... Heaven forbid we know the history of a political power broker.

MAGA, huh?

one thing about this is that it shows how terminally online these people are

Though I have lived abroad for almost a decade, my vote is through Tennessee. And it is sad that while it infuriates me, it doesn't surprise. Tennessee politicians will say things that could boil an egg.

I'm not one to usually join a subscription service, but I am thinking of signing up for Nebula TV. Anyone have a referral code? Anyone have a comment on the merits/demerits of the app?

Suits are meaningless uncomfortable bullshit!* *I don’t remember which fan drew this, but I changed their original caption.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation. I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

Between the antics of Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos, are Billionaires going from villains to supervilllains or were they always this crazy?
