Here's my take on Avowed's story after 20 hours: Is it this amazing, sweeping narrative that's gonna change your life? No. It's there to drive the player forward and that's about it. But that's the things with games like this - the golden path is never the most memorable part, it's everything else

Avowed has been great so far. Just unlocked access to the second major area. I love how dense this world is. Literally something around every corner. And choices are reflected in the world, even if in insignificant ways.

I rearranged my capture rig so I can still play on my TV while I capture footage of games, so beginning with Avowed I'm gonna try to fully capture playthroughs of each game I play from here on. My hard drive weeps 🤣

Tonight's piano lessons included beginning to read sheet music. This will probably be my biggest hurdle in learning this instrument 😅 Although I did get a bit distracted the second I had a basic understanding and went and worked out the first measure of To Zanarkand because priorities 🤣

My brain has been totally rewired by J-Pop, and honestly? I'm really thankful for it Music excites me now more than it has in years - so much so that it's motivated me to actually take steps to learn and improve as a musician. I'd probably never have started this piano course without it tbh

My Avowed character! Honestly not that fond of it but oh well lol. This game is so good! My build I'm working on is something I like to call "spells & shells" - main loadout is wand/grimoire and my secondary is firearms (currently a pistol). Lots of fun!
