UPDATE: The Treasury Secretary refused to let us in the building and meet with us. I’m standing with my colleagues as we fight to make sure we put a stop to this coup.

In the past decade, we have lost thousands of Texans to fentanyl. It's time to put an end to this crisis. I was proud to vote for the HALT Fentanyl Act to ensure the federal government has the resources to save lives and keep North Texas families safe.

TX is making a global impact! From supporting ag development to advancing global health & food security, USAID partners across our state drive meaningful change. Yet, the Admin is actively working to dismantle USAID, threatening the vital programs that support our farmers, universities & nonprofits.

As Texas families struggle to make ends meet, Trump and Republicans in Congress have done absolutely nothing to lower costs. In fact, they have only made the problem worse.

USAID does lifesaving work abroad to keep Americans safe at home. And Republicans have voted time and time again to create and implement these programs. Without it? More war. More instability. More threats to the U.S. @houseforeign.bsky.social

Tonight, I hosted my first Tele-Townhall to talk about issues that matter to Texas families. I am grateful to the 4,000 constituents that took the time to listen in. As always, if my office can ever help, don’t hesitate to reach out at (202) 225-2231.

The Republican Budget Plan: because nothing says “fiscal responsibility” like jacking up health care costs 69% for 103,000 Texans in TX-32. An extra $380 a year just to see a doctor? Hard pass. I’m fighting to keep health care affordable—not a luxury. #ProtectOurCare #TX32

Did you miss my live Tele-Townhall last night? No problem! Listen to the entire recording below! youtu.be/juVGerL7pSU

A SpaceX rocket exploded in January, leading to FAA safety violation fines. Elon Musk threatened to sue the agency. Shortly after, the FAA administrator resigned. The FAA's commercial spaceflight office could be next on the DOGE chopping block. See the problem? www.propublica.org/article/elon...

Can’t unsee.

Pretty telling that the comparison here is “someone scolding you via a video you saw on Facebook that you found annoying” and “complete disregard for legal protections and long standing peaceful cooperation between nations”. It’s actually pretty accurate to how conservatives view the world

According to Reuters, a career prosecutor agreed to sign the motion to dismiss the Adams case to spare the others. But the judge can hold a hearing before granting the motion and ask for an explanation.

The abrupt terminations of more than 1,000 employees, including new Epidemic Intelligence Officers, across CDC are deeply disturbing. For more than 70 years, EIS officers have served on America’s front line as its disease detectives, ready at a moment’s notice to respond to emerging outbreaks.

you can look at this and say we're divided or you can look at this and say that a majority of americans oppose every one of these things

NOAA is reportedly on the DOGE chopping block. The National Weather Service, which is part of NOAA, provides life saving weather forecasting in the US. A study found that for every $1 invested in NWS, it produces $73 in value to Americans. Again, this isn't about efficiency.

A judge just blocked Elon Musk and co-president Donald Trump from firing the financial cops at the CFPB who protect consumers from Wall Street scams. There's power in fighting back.

Why should ANY Democrat vote to fund the Trump Department of Justice? cc @repjasmine.bsky.social @juliejohnsontx.bsky.social ?????

No business as usual until the criming stops.

Good morning! Have you called your member of congress today and asked what they're doing to end the naz-led coup? If not, you might want to call the congressional switchboard: (202) 224-3121.

my view is that as soon as the administration froze disbursement of congressional appropriations we entered constitutional crisis territory

This is reason enough for @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social to face a credible primary challenge.

Call your reps (again!)--find their info at reps.fyi. Tell them to join AOC. 👇

Have you called your representatives today? How did it go? Beth Van Duyne still apparently has no position on this.

The United States is now an open kleptocracy. The Constitution has been suspended to allow the wealthiest man in the world to loot and destroy the federal government.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges. This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS: there have been times when you controlled the House & Senate, yet Republicans still found ways to block your legislation. DO THAT TO THEM! And—since the GOP won’t hold hearings, go home to your districts & hold mock hearings yourselves. Let the people see what’s really up!

Elon Musk has taken over the federal government, and Nazis have access to your sensitive government information. Call your member of congress to ask what they are doing about it and post their answers in the comments. Also ask Cruz and Cornyn to vote against Project 2025 Architect, Russell Vought.

I take my inclusion on Trump’s list as a backhanded compliment in response to our court successes against his administration this week. And I intend to return it in the best way I know how: by filing many more lawsuits against his and his cronies’ wrongdoing. nypost.com/2025/02/08/u...

Sounds... efficient? "There are no more civil servants now than there were in the late 1960s, even as the population they serve has grown by two-thirds." www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Normalize pronouncing DOGE as DOUCHE.

Because this is getting downplayed in some of the coverage, the racist staffer DOGE rehired isn’t a case of “stupid things he wrote years ago as a teen.” He posted about how we should “normalize Indian hate” IN SEPTEMBER.
