Brining a classic over here in case nobody else has yet

Emailing this article once an hour to all the good liberals at my job who worked so hard to fight our union www.thenation.com/article/acti...

damocles, dude, you absolutely cannot put your sword there. come on man

these are our brothers and we should be building a better world together

I asked Robert Fripp a question during a Q&A after one of his solo ambient performances

I’ve just finished reading the Bible. I even did all the voices

We are sorry you have a dangerous fire the air quality is not good I hope it wears off soon to: canita from: mineaplis feeling of the day: scard

[INT. MIND PALACE] the word TURDS appears in front of me. i swat it away. it is quickly replaced by TURDS in a different font.

Dangerous time for the country with soldiers being deployed to police a major city. But my stomach is churning over what this means for Minneapolis. A gut check for whether you really trust that MPD and state police wouldn't replay 2020 if it came down to it.

Macalester staff are optimistic that we won today’s union election to join MAPE! But we won’t know final count tonight because NLRB gonna NLRB. Hopefully soon!

I love my comrades, I love our union

David Graeber said this in 2012 about protests in New York City. Though this is increasingly what is happening this week in Los Angeles. davidgraeber.org/articles/con...

Yall need to leave Councilmember Robin Wonsley alone. You're mad Ward 2 is independent of the DFL? Then run a candidate that can compete with what she brings to the table. Otherwise, shut up.

Tomorrow’s an NLRB election to decide if 220+ staff at my workplace will join MAPE. My colleagues and I have poured 100s of hrs and our full hearts into this effort. Send supportive thoughts our way, and if you know a Mac staff member tell them to vote YES ✊ linktr.ee/macalester.mape

Everyone contributes to the movement in the ways they see fit. Some get teargassed and shot with rubber bullets by rampaging cops, others offer notes online re: how the people getting gassed/shot might seem less deserving of getting gassed/shot to the general public. It's a coalition.

an important thing to remember as The Cool Zone looms: the most egregious recent violent and militarized crackdown -- at places like UCLA and Columbia -- was done under democrats with the full support of democrats. they aint gonna help

Union cookouts are the best cookouts

It’s not normal to have armored vehicles and federal agents carrying assault weapons on Lake Street. The defensiveness of the Mayor failed to acknowledge the harm that our community experienced. I had to speak up here when those on top failed to do so. www.mprnews.org/story/2025/0...

a good thing to ask yourself when pursuing a broad political strategy is “would this have prevented the civil rights movement?”

Our approach to climate change summed up in one photo from @mprnews.org . 🫠

It is very important to remind people, at every opportunity, that Mayor Jacob Frey has sole and exclusive authority over the Minneapolis Police Department. This is Jacob Frey's MPD assisting Donald Trump's feds in a raid on Minneapolis.

Macalester alums: support our staff union drive by signing up for the alumni solidarity network! groups.google.com/g/mape-at-ma...

Blasting the Eye on Springfield theme in his memory

the counter to "leftists are mean" is "obviously not mean enough"

L, and I cannot stress this enough, FG

[extremely Craig Finn voice]

I can’t get enough of HBO post-show Looks Inside the Episode. I want the director to narrate to me the events of the episode I just watched. I want to know what percentage of water stunts were VFX

What I like about Stephen Sondheim is everyone else makes musicals that become huge famous hits named stuff like "Grease" and "Wicked" and "Hamilton". His are all named stuff like "Loop De Loo, And Isn't That Just Always The Way" and no one has ever performed, recorded, or heard of it ever again.

On May 25, 2020, several Minneapolis police officers murdered George Floyd on the corner of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue S. It has been five years since the world watched a father, son, and community member lose his life at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department.

Five years ago today, George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin. Shortly after, MPD released a statement claiming he died due to a “medical incident.” But a video by Darnella Frazier soon revealed to the world what really happened.

but babe you love being in your enclosure
