AI is the worst, but laying out and doing graphic arts for the latest issue of @unwinnable.com — a whole ass issue dedicated to how garbage AI is — was the best. All the articles are golden. And everything was made by the loveliest humans.

My brain has decided that today is the day that I miss all my festival/conference friends. That's the message, hit send.

Hey Pierre, get fucked.

The books I read from January through March: Absolution by @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social, The Wood at Midnight by Susanna Clarke, Polostan by Neal Stephenson, and a small pile of books by @premeemohamed.com (not pictured is the audiobook version of Apple-Tree Throne). Books are great.

Hrmph. UCP seem to have not made the print edition of @adapalmer.bsky.social's “Inventing the Renaissance” available in Canada. Real bummed about that. Maybe it's just struggling with idiotic tariffs. I grabbed the audiobook in the meantime. Excited, verily. press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/bo...

Look at how good @doubleproficiency.com ‘s new book, Geologist’s Primer, is and how well it pairs with the previous one, Herbalist’s Primer. Glorious!

Who are the five writers that made you? Ursula K. Le Guin Mervyn Peake Octavia E. Butler J. G. Ballard Terry Pratchett Bonus authors: Joanna Russ, Douglas Adams, David Mitchell, Olaf Stapledon… Yes, I listened to Radiohead when I was eleven. Why do you ask?

Did I get that book that Lizard-In-A-Skin-Suit — Zuck — attempted to block, then made way more popular by doing that? Yes. Yes I did.

Looks like Spring is beginning to make an appearance.
