I agree with - @mixed-en.bsky.social on this one - search.app/BWZLZunM7LiZ... - killing Move rather than making it awesome - integration with Google and apple would encourage engagement massively who, if it's not tracked it didn't happen.

Nerdy. But getting my daughter to watch Star Gate with me, because she likes animal farm is a win .... It's way better than other stuff she wants to watch with me!!

Well - TikTok scam moderation is good.... Maybe it was the real Elon musk!!!

Google spam - where people have added you to a Google Group is crazy, this should be something that Google can fix up easily and quickly, but no - it doesn't make enough money and they are too focused on "AI" apparently. </rant>

I like free, and great free apps will help grow VR - however moving to a poor quality freemium market will be really bad for growing VR, poor experiences will lower long term engagement and future users search.app/1PpjC19fUSW2...

I am struggling with the humanity, or lack of humanity being shown by the US, Israel, Russia and even the British government recently, the treatment of humans right now feels like pre WW2 (or before). This actually sickens me - www.aljazeera.com/program/news...

Is this .... Not incredibly dodgy? Is it deliberate? Feels so incredibly wrong

"AI" Smart Mug - have we reached the point that the word AI is trotted out to anything with more than a light switch - despite the BS bingo in the description - I really want one! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sj7B...

Affiliate content is only okay if Google makes money from it, you hear? If Google doesn't get a cut, it's spam. Simple as.

If you're going to Digital Marketing Europe in March Make sure you see @adamriemer.bsky.social / Marty Weintraub / Amanda Walls and Luke Cope! There's so many other amazing speakers I'm sure! I had a blast there last year, great venue and amazing city!

Google have done this with so many products - replace a good product with a new abs improved, but missing key features replacement. Google Voice replaced by Gemini - which can't control Spotify. But good news, it can now do the most basic function! Yeah your Siri 2011.

My favourite thing right now is the met office on Tiktok replying to the daily express & daily mail stories when they say EXTREME SNOW NEXT WEEK... "Just on some Scottish mountains"

So - reading through the article - I'm more confused - search.app/SDtv4oLpKYeQ... The headline suggests that a toilet seat is so wrong - but I didn't know you can't recycle a plastic toilet seat! Plastic soap bottles are no - plastic yogurt are yes? The solution here alludes me if I'm honest.

This was the reasons I went to #searchnorwich. An amazing talk on a real Google exploit and some amazing real findings, imho way bigger than the leak. And @markwilliamscook.com is an amzing presenter. #seo www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AQ9...

Check it out, y’all - I’ve got a brand new course over at the @brightlocal.com Academy!

Dashboards sharing referral traffic from AI are amazing but note they are indicative, a lot of traffic doesn't have a referrer - I have perplexity Pro and the referral traffic installed on my Macbook has no referrer information - so it comes as Direct.

Ever feel like your website content is getting sucked into a black hole, never to be seen again? According to Google, that might actually be happening. Here's an explanation of "marauding black holes" in Google Search, and how to avoid them. www.youtube.com/shorts/MgxH4...

Someone check on Satan because I think hell has frozen over. @sistrix.com posted a recap of @jonoalderson.bsky.social's 2024 newsletters, and I find myself agreeing with nearly every word. Jono and I in near-perfect agreement. Isn't that a sign of the apocalypse? www.sistrix.com/blog/what-jo...

Yesterday’s SEO for News meetup in London was fantastic! Great to see and spend time with so many people working in SEO for publishing. Thanks to our amazing panelists for sharing their experiences and insights with the whole group, and mega thanks to Glide and AWS for facilitating the whole event.

Intrigued by the selection of languages - Portuguese over Spanish for instance. (Off to take a look at the focus of the locations in SimilarWeb!)

I'm seeing very different behaviour here at the moment - Far more positive, better engagement.

I usually ask on Twitter, but thought I'd give it a go here instead: Which good books have you read this year? Which would you recommend wholeheartedly (optionally why)? I'll compile the list if there are enough responses. (feel free to repost for a broader spread of recommendations)
