At the end of the day I think all my ships are inspired by Kurogane and Fai from Tsubasa or Doumeki and Watanuki from xxxHolic. Those were such formative ships for me that the magic doesn't ever go away. Obviously nothing I write is a 1:1 recreation and I wouldn't want that, but there's bits in all.

Emet makes Bram crazy, at least once he understands him, because he gets it. He gets loss and how it can drive you to completely illogical actions. How it can unspool you into something you don't even recognize. But he also can't bear the way Emet looks at him like he sees someone else.

I’ve never encountered any OOC misconceptions of him but for all I yap here I also just don’t talk about Bram with many people. IC people think he’s mean or unapproachable just because he’s big, quiet, and has a sword. But that’s not the case at all, he’s very kind and patient.

Mina has seen dozens of horrible, brutal wounds. She’s helped to reattach fingers. She’s amputated limbs. She also settles into a panic attack any time anyone has a face injury, much to her personal chagrin. She just can’t shake the terror she felt when she was little and thought Bram might die.

Aside from the obvious, Bram has pretty bad burn scars on his legs from fighting the Ultima weapon in ARR. Very painful and quite prominent. Also miserable to heal. Few people ever see them, though.
