We're in the #SteamNextFest - our demo is live now! We're starting a little cold here, so boosts really appreciated. Wishlist here: store.steampowered.com/app/3538210/...

Our new game, @playfellowship.com is now available to demo in Steam Next Fest! It's crazy seeing other humans play something that's been a labour of love to so many people for so long. I can't wait to get in tomorrow and go through all the feedback.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Demo is up on Steam https://buff.ly/3ZEVImH

New trailer! And release date! Gotta go finish it now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWLB...

It's fascinating to watch Labour trying to 'learn lessons' from other countries' elections when the answer is: tax the rich. Inequality is driving all this. Extreme wealth makes things more expensive. Tax the rich.

We've had a bit of a whirlwind week since we announced Forbidden Solitaire. First we reached over 7000 wishlists in 48 hours, then over 9000 a couple of days later. People loved the trailer by @slicknicklives.bsky.social and we got some press too! Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/3414580/...

As well as documenting cultural history, mags remind us of a time when writing about games was guided only by instinct and passion and fun (and the annual reader survey, maybe). www.theguardian.com/games/2025/j...

it’ll be so embarrassing if the 21st century’s Great Depression comes as a direct result of rich people pouring all their money into a mediocre text generator to avoid paying people

I'm tired of marketing. Would you be so kind and help me share this game around with other cozy gamers? 🥹👉👈

I like how they made an entire series that's just about a man who is large Like his whole identity is "tall" Called it "Reacher" like yeah my guy can you reach them pickles from the back of that shelf? Thanks

I love making videogames because firing a nuclear missile into a space station is pretty straightforward, but having someone take off their hat while talking is massively out of scope

Hi! A new intro for 2025. I’m a web designer & developer turned gamedev, posting about every kind of design & dev I wade into: graphics, typography, UI, procedural generation, audio synthesis and more. I’m working on a couple of games. Prototype gifs thread here: bsky.app/profile/joni...

The task was to try and put together a pack with resources we already had that still had its own distinct flavour and oh BOY did @rokmod.bsky.social and @gentlekevs.bsky.social go absolutely BONKERS with that.

You know what would help indies? If they weren't losing 40% (30% plus returns, chargebacks and taxes) of their income on the primary PC storefront where they are in fact subsidizing AAA games which get sweetheart deals

Good morning, bluesky! I thought with Citizen Sleeper 2 imminent (just a couple of weeks away) I'd repost my @jumpovertheage.com interview on how the original digital game relates to tabletop things. Read!

got frustrated with how hard it was to find old level design talks, so I started a "recommended talks" page on the level design book book.leveldesignbook.com/appendix/res... (still many talks missing, but it's a start)

The one thing I've learned over the years is: Keep your own archive of photos, music etc. Don't ever trust an app to do it for you. Backup yourself in a readable format, don't use apps.

old shot I did for the danish worker's bank's 100 year anniverary film. lots of projection mapping of old photos in that film, lots of fun! #cinema4d #aftereffects

I just hit 2.7k followers and I wanna do my version of an art share; so if you have a game on steam that needs some Wishlist love, reply with a link and i’ll repost it 💙 I’ll start with my* own (*i’m merely part of a great team)

My gamedev company - Moonana - is currently going bankrupt slowly after 7 years of hard work and being able to pay all staff (an indiedev miracle). We've made a christmas game to thank our fans over the years and say our goodbyes worse comes to be. This is a thread on our history & our newest title.

Can anyone that's participated in a Steam Nextfest tell me what you're actually getting besides a chance at being in the official trailer? If I release a demo during the Next Fest without actually signing up to it, am I losing out on some algorithmic special sauce?

the sooner people realize that almost all corporations will go along with whatever makes the most money, whether it aligns with your politics or not, the better - there are no principles there beyond self enrichment, gaslighting yourself into believing they have other goals just helps them do it

Fun game for games sphere folks: any time you see awful behavior, instead of sharing it, go scan the Indie Game feed or Game Development feed for something that looks cool but isn't getting much traction, and share that instead I promise it'll make ya feel better, ditto for your followers

I am particularly pleased with this one, just as a general piece of writing, so don't feel you have to know your 2d6 from your elbow to read it.

My bi-annual DEEP CUTS sales roundup is live on PC Gamer! 20 more games, all released this year, minimum 25% discount, all undersold and as broad a range of genres as possible. I can't promise you'll find the game of your dreams here, but if you're tired of AAA stuff, come get hipster with me.

Anton's STRONG RECOMMENDATION for an end-of-the-year PCVR Game. Clone Drone In The Hyperdome It's a Melee Fighting game with voxel destruction, goofy robots, delightful characters, that's actually built around a campaign. I'm about 1.5 hours in LOVING IT. store.steampowered.com/app/2401230/...

I want to see the way we tell the stories of games—and game developers—go beyond advertisements. So, we worked with @NoodleVEVO to do just that. This is the story of Bass Reeves Can’t Die, the latest game from Strange Scaffold. You’ll want to watch this. youtu.be/69Ukg2BqIk0
