I’ve never seen so much genuine outpourings of love & appreciation for an artist on social media before, yesterday was 90% David Lynch. If ever you needed the encouragement & belief to be “wild at heart & weird on top” there you are.

4:30 am, deep asleep, dreaming. My wife bursts into my dream, shouts at me to “wake up!” & is pointing outside, I wake myself, panicked & groggy. Sat on a tree in the garden is a huge silverback, with his back to me, eating our mangoes! WTF! we don’t have a mango tree, I’m confused & half asleep

Finally watched Longlegs. A triumph of style over substance, fantastic ad campaign & design aesthetic, but why was it 91 minutes? This was an X-files episode. A weak plot, telegraphed ending, the most interesting element of the steel balls in the doll, not expanded. What did I miss?
