I wanted to thank everyone for a great first month of The Development Track. I have heard from people all over the world and have given script notes to some really stellar writers. My slots are filling up fast, and I'll only be offering my introductory prices for another month. #sciptsky

Another big feature spec sale from a new writer! 2nd comedy sale this month. Just finished reading it and can definitely see why it sold. Very very funny. It also followed many of my rules for selling a spec outlined below! thedevelopmenttrack.com/how-to-sell-... #scriptsky #writeyourspec

Last week, Amazon fired their head of content, Jen Salke. While the media has obsessed over that decision, I argue that there is another streamer that has a much worse track record. What's surprising is that it is run by the person who might take over Disney thedevelopmenttrack.com/does-disney-...

A lot has been written about #AppleTV lately, especially as reports leaked that it loses a billion a year. I have a lot of thoughts and solutions for the streamer. While I don't think the service is going anywhere, there are a lot of ways for it to improve! thedevelopmenttrack.com/apple-tv-isn...

Here is my final article about the TV Development Process. I go in depth about working with a network, deciphering notes, and all the steps you need to go through to get a greenlight. thedevelopmenttrack.com/the-complete... #scriptsky

A lot happens to a pilot script from the first draft submitted to the network to the time it airs on television. In the first in a series, I compare an early draft of Netflix's Zero Day to the final product to give an insight into the note giving process. thedevelopmenttrack.com/from-script-...

Hello TV Writers. Here is Part 3 of my deep dive into the TV Development process. I get into developing with a studio, packaging, lookbooks, and getting the project ready to take to networks and streamers! #scriptsky thedevelopmenttrack.com/the-complete...

While most of my exec experience has been in TV, I have sold 15 films in my career and helped get 4 made. I have a lot of thoughts about the spec market and think we will continue to see studios buying lots of specs in 2025! thedevelopmenttrack.com/how-to-sell-...

Yesterday, I shared the process of selling your TV pilot. Today, I dive into how to structure a TV pitch, what happens when you pitch to a studio, and how to navigate business affairs. Please check out the article below. thedevelopmenttrack.com/the-complete...
