It's common for trauma survivors to feel guilt when a part is out that is more assertive or angry than our "normal" self-- but those parts exist, & come out, for a reason. We don't need to be ashamed of them. They're not "bad." They hold super important feelings, needs, & nerve.

Trauma survivors can be ambivalent about seeking medical care, both because we've often had invalidating experiences w/ medical professionals, & also because chronic dissociation can lower our awareness of pain or injury. We often quite literally don't realize we're hurt.
