Not sure why I didn’t realize this sooner, but Apple Music will render Atmos to stereo if you force Atmos always on in the Apple Music settings. Atmos versions, when available, can have much better mastering than the default, which is often dynamically compressed to death to make it louder.

Our old TiVo died this week. Cheapest current model for use with an antenna is about $450 and is out of stock. And they’re apparently going for over $700 used. Geesh. Got a Tablo whole home DVR for $100. No subscription fees for the guide data. Guess TiVo is largely done for. Kinda sad.
