Latest #hotsauce bottled this weekend. This came to light when the local Asian supermarket had a massive supply of #Habanero, #GhostPepper & #CaroliaReaper #chiliepeppers. #Fermented with Pomegranate & spices. Fruity, high & long heat. No Pomeranians were harmed in the making of this sauce. 1/2

One of my most popular recipes. This is my third batch, & it's becoming a yearly tradition. Strong in the onion flavour, moderate heat with sweet & fruity undertones. Savoury, really complimenting most dishes without overwhelming anything. As one fan says "it wakes food up". #hotsauce #ferment 1/6

As is becoming a tradition for us, insofar as 2 years constitutes a tradition, we started a fermentation in the first days of the #YearOfTheDragon and bottled the #hotsauce today, the last day of the #LunarNewYear, in an attempt to absorb all the goodness from the year. 1/4

dGb Hot Sauce is a two person show. There's me, handling the prep, label design and bottling. There's another helping with the shopping, care for our plants and with an amazing palette, always able to know what's missing to make things sing. 🌶️🌱 #hotsauce #ferment #retirement 1/5

This guy gets it! I love the dedication and restraint letting it go three months! Lovely assortment of chilies in there. 🌶️🌱

Nice job! I had a similar experience with a sauce I'll never be able to replicate, which I named "Happy Little Accident" and slapped a picture of Bob Ross on the label. Great use of ingredients that would otherwise go to waste, or at lest not be fully enjoyed! 🌶️🌱

I love garden-to-bottle hot sauce, and these look great! 🌶️🌱

No trip to #Toronto is complete without stopping by #KensingtonMarket to see what #hotpepper varieties are available at Caribbean Corner. We snagged a good number of reds for our next #hotsauce. 🌶️🌱

Lovely harvest. Lovely picture. 🌶️🌱

The anxiety you get waiting for the fermentation to run its course, wondering if it's long enough yet, fighting the urge to open it up and blend it Right Freaking Now™ only feeds into the flavour that develops! Good on you for waiting it out! I know how hard it can be! 😆 🌶️🌱

Youngest is in town for winter break & took 13 bottles of our sauce to a gathering of friends for an impromptu episode of Hot Ones. Super pleased that the sauces were well received! They made it through all, including Schorchard, a Ghost Pepper-Apple #hotsauce. Good on them!

I hope no doctors were harmed in the making of this sauce! I love home-grown to bottle. This is doubly good as gifts for Christmas! 🌶️🌱

And the circle of life is complete! 🌶️🌱

Keep chasing the dream!

Nice! Garden to bottle is sublime!🌶️🌱

Very nice! And why have I never considered rose petal before? Now I feel silly! 🌶️🌱

The extra burning is from the love you pour into the plants as they grow! 🌶️🌱

You care for plants for months, keeping them healthy and thriving, and they repay you with immense pain. I call that a win-win! 🌶️🌱

Time well spent! Primed for success!

Beautiful! Fantastic colour and a great list of ingredients!

I always admire the patience needed for a long fermentation, and using peppers you've grown yourself makes it doubly wonderful. Looks great! 🌶️🌱
