“There is no weakness in love. The viable path to justice is through love. Love for ourselves and love for our opponents, our enemies….. In a very important way loving our enemies is about saving our own souls.” youtu.be/y1E2BpjxMMo?...

Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic. (posting in 3 parts due to Bluesky's 1 minute limit)

4 years ago the anti racism council I co-chaired at Broadway issued the attached statement. Today the chief insurrectionist is pardoning the insurrectionists who invaded the capital. The moral arc of the universe is longer than I’d hoped though I still believe we can bend it toward justice.

Our church released this statement this morning in response to the inauguration.

Trust is not a magic spell that we can cast when things go sideways in life. Rather, trust is a choice that we make, based on God’s good creation, that allows us to live in community with each other as we seek the “peace of the city” in which God has planted us.

As a church we are challenged to step up for our trans siblings and make a place where they can be loved, and not simply remembered.

As our congregation considers the way forward after the election we realize we need to care for each other, care for our LGBTQIA community, and care for other communities living on the margin.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #451,318! In the first 5%.
