Scrolling through my game text spreadsheet and commenting "needs more juice" every 50 words or so. That's game design baby.

this. this right here is what we should all be doing.

Just an inch away from $4000!!!

New Dice Exploder this week: the start of a series on larp. Larp! It’s that thing where you dress up like wizards, go into the woods, and hit each other with sticks. Right? Well... yeah! Except no, because it’s a million other things too, and I think all us ttrpg designers can learn a lot from it.

I'm on the latest episode of @diceexploder.com - www.diceexploder.com/blog/2025/2/... Sam and I kick off his miniseries on larp by exploring how sometimes it's as easy as "just read the card" and demonstrate that with a quick round of Ghost Court. Give it a listen and then go play some larps!

Playtested this Desperation playset tonight. It was a great time, a real hoot, and I learned some interesting stuff.

I had such a great time chatting with @diceexploder.com about pregens, shared language, and storymaking on this episode. I yapped a lot, so really kudos to Sam for being a good host and directing conversation, and managing to edit all that down into something listenable in a reasonable timeframe :p

Less than 24 hours to back Sharky, my new adventure featuring an underwater dungeon and mysterious seaside town! www.kickstarter.com/projects/die...

This was a fun talk with Alex at a moment when we were both deep in process on multiple games. Listening back I feel like I learned stuff I'd forgotten in the year since we recorded it. Playtesting is complicated. You don't have to put every idea you're excited about into one game. Good episode!
