seems like a good time to say that I'll be attending summer game fest again and i'm available for freelance work. email is diego6arguello6 at gmail and you can find my bylines here: muckrack.com/diego-arguel...

every year since i quit being a full-time journalist, i come out of my cave to write about one fantastic video game. last year, it was the transcendent 1000xRESIST. this year, it’s the wonderful Lost Records: Bloom and Rage. www.pastemagazine.com/games/lost-r...

Devolver cuts 40 percent of workforce at Reigns developer Nerial

started watching mythic quest and i think the media name drops are gonna kill me

listen if i wrote more than 100 articles for your site i should be entitled to bsky verification via your site

“this game has 100 endings”

rip pope you’d have loved the oblivion remake

they keep making some really bad decisions here

nothing against the actress of course but abby being so small in the show is such a miss

i reviewed lost records for rolling stone, a tender story with a punk heart about banding together against patriarchy and conservatism, and how both time and decisions made eventually catch up to everyone. www.rollingstone.com/culture/rs-g...

Went into Sinners expecting Lovecraft Country redux and an answer to the Blade movie we might never see. But Coogler really set out to make a Film™ about the mythology Black people have always created for ourselves, and he knocked it out of the park. My review:

just finished the pitt. what a goddamn show y’all

one of my most anticipated games since i first came across it

I wrote the foreword for this and can attest to this book being very good 🥰

Really was not expecting Lost Records: Bloom and Rage to hit me the way it did, but damn. A gorgeous game about growing up, learning your relationship to rebellion, and the healing power of punk rock. My review. www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/lost-...

Some of Lost Records’ bigger mysteries get lost in obvious sequel set up, but I still loved the broad themes of its second episode and its non-cynical use of ‘90s nostalgia as a way to keep someone’s memory alive.

the problem of working at 1 am (aside from, you know, it being 1 am) is that it's always prime time for chatting with folks. dms be flowing. plans get made. there's a glee in the air that 2 to 5 pm can only wish for. procrastination goes hand in hand with all of this
