Why was Wayne #Gretzky our "honourary captain" at last night's #4NationsFinal? I've seen this question asked a lot over the last day, but I would like to hear an actual answer and think Canadians deserve one. I've asked Hockey Canada. You should too: www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/corpor...

Fascinating article about Indigenous language learning in Canada and the many barriers young people might face in trying to learn languages that were essentially stolen from them and their families.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau chimed in online after Canada beat the United States in the 4 Nations Face-Off final. 🔗 www.nytimes.com/athletic/liv...

Ok, so there's gotta be a good feed or something I can follow for the #4NationsFinal right? Anyone got one? #CanadavsUS #4NationsFaceOff

Reflecting on this more, here's why the "Trump saying X is just a distraction from Y" trope irritates me so much: it's impossible to understand this moment without at least *trying* to observe the totality of it. It's all a unified whole. Because that's how history works!

Making Ontarians realize they're paying for the Toronto mega spa is a good electoral strategy since everybody hates giving Toronto anything. How can they take this further since this argument itself is clearly not working? Announce something better. #OntarioElection

This would make me so, so happy. Both México and Canada have had to deal with America's addiction to guns because the *vast majority* of our gun crimes are committed with American guns.

This is unprecedented. The Rising Tides agreement was just with the province, but adding federal recognition in is a big deal. This is the first time Aboriginal Title land has been negotiated, rather than litigated in Canada.

This is (and has been) true of public employees in Argentina as well! One of the things I love and respect most about the country is their consistent political activism.

This is exactly what's happening (and has already happened) with Doug Ford in Toronto/Ontario. And the province is about to give him another Majority government as a Thank-You.

Every line is worse than the last. No due process, not accused of any crimes, no access to a lawyer, and this was swept further under the rug the more attention it got. Migrants were moved from the hotel to the camp as soon as Panamanian media took notice, phones confiscated soon after. Wow.

Who you elect matters. Life in Paris has improved by almost every measure. We can do this in #Ontario too, but we need to elect leaders with the vision to make it happen. #onpoli

Maybe focus on all the plane crashes instead?
