This is so good: a refreshing change from the mouthy bullies and cancellers of the Zionist/Likud lobby.

Perfect analysis, no notes re AUKUS. aliensideboob.substack.com/p/top-ten-li...

"No ally can now rely on the United States" says @keanebernard.bsky.social: "Australia desperately needs fresh thinking about its defence priorities, via a new Defence white paper that takes into account a world gone MAGA." Start with ditching #AUKUS. #auspol www.crikey.com.au/2025/02/19/a...

This is probably the most accurate take.

Sky News was running this bloke nonstop on Friday

Three fountain pen and waterbrush sketches from Monday night's life drawing at Toowoomba art society. This was my second session of the year. The previous Monday both my pens failed from lack of user maintenance! I borrowed a pencil but it wasn't very successful.

Great job by Ruben (@rubenbolling.bsky.social).

MEDIA RELEASE: Australia must support Palestinian self-determination & facilitate long-term peacebuilding in the Middle East After Donald Trump declared the US will "take over" Gaza, Australia must act with urgency to uphold its values on the global stage & support the human rights of Palestinians.

‘No idea what he’s talking about’: Dutton’s nuclear plan could raise – not cut – electricity bills, experts warn

My latest article for The Shot. Please join me as we mercilessly mock Queen Gina, patron saint of global warming, and her merry gang of sycophants at something called National Mining Day . . . or as Gina would say, National Mahning Day. #drillbabydrill theshot.net.au/uncategorize...

WTF is this coverage ABC? Reads like reporting of the Met Ball. And this is deplorable misleading journalism. "Elon Musk's inauguration address was punctuated by Mars and a bizarre arm gesture" We all saw what we saw, not a bizarre arm gesture, but repeated nazi salutes. Shameful coverage

Americans overwhelmingly opposed this. He did it because he wants to send a signal to far-right domestic extremists all over the country that he will soon call on them to again commit violence to keep him in power—and if they do so well enough, they will face no consequences. The message is clear.

Big terrifying difference between now and 2017

A smooth, wide cycle track alongside a rural road lined with mature trees and streetlights - key details that make a difference. Trees offer shelter from wind, sun, and rain, while lighting ensures social safety. Comfort and practicality, even on dark, rainy days. Details matter!

My usual commute to work is 25 minutes. It was close to 55 minutes today with the snow. I’d still rather bike in vs having my partner drop me off. #wintercycling #bikecommuting #snowday

#Toowoomba this is how to do it!

A couple of clips from Sunday's ride with Toowoomba Region Bicycle Users Group

If you’re not VERY worried about the #ClimateCrisis, you’re not paying attention, or you’ve been successfully convinced to ignore reality. But ignoring reality doesn’t protect us from it. Being worried is necessary for smart action. How bad things will get is still up to us.

The TRBUG Sunday ride out from Nobby. A pleasant ride on a mix of quiet country asphalt and gravel roads and few flies! I was told to bring a chair to sit on in the park after the ride. I thought 'I don't need to, I ride a trike'. As soon as we finished the ride I packed the trike into my car!

This morning I did a 62 km loop average 20 km/h. I went out past the tip then crossed the highway. The road turned to gravel and then to rutted tyre tracks which disappeared in the long grass. I had to carefully negotiate some awkward bits but it wasn't rough enough to give up.

Today I was waiting at Grand Central shopping centre. While I waited I sat and sketched. I sketched a stall worker talking to a customer. An elderly man sat opposite to me so I added him in. A tatted up man sat near me so I started to sketch him. He left almost immediately!
