More book stuff soon. Looking at doing a couple of things as benefits for orgs helping folks targeted by MAGA. As an emotional break from **points at everything** for #caturday here is sweet tripod girl Ripley playing. She doesn’t have teeth but carries her mouse no problem.

Big shout-out to Ross Lockhart over at @wordhorde-emporium.bsky.social for his review of _caterpillars_ in the Petaluma Argus Courier. Ross is fantastic editor and writer in his own right, in addition to running the Emporium and his excellent publishing imprint @wordhorde.bsky.social.

It's not on Goodreads yet but there is now a page for _caterpillars_ on The StoryGraph. I'm not very familiar with the site yet but looks like a good alternative to the Amazon-owned Goodreads. If you've read it feel free to leave a review. And if you haven't, only 10 copies left in stock.

Simply breathtaking. I need to get myself to an exhibit of Ms. Lipton's work sometime.

With some assistance from Sia, I am finally caught up on _caterpillars_ shipping. If you paid for a copy, it is packed and waiting to go to the post office tomorrow. Holding a few for international folks, other than that there are 13 copies left.

Last year @cursedmorsels.bsky.social put out the excellent anthology Why Didn't You Just Leave?, edited by @omgjulia.bsky.social and @nadiabulkin.bsky.social. BIPOC writers with a short story collection to pitch, now is your chance!

I don't know much about Psychopomp, but they are publishing a new collection from @premeemohamed.com soon and that has me very excited. Writer friends, check out this call for submissions.

PSA: the amazing Laurie Lipton is here, please follow her so you can appreciate her stunning art. Powerful, beautiful, often gut-wrenching and jaw-dropping. This piece may be my favorite of hers so far.

I have received the second and final box of Scott Nicolay’s novella _caterpillars_ , and I start fulfilling orders today. The winner of Scott’s rare 2015 novella _after_, including color prints by @illustro-obscurum.bsky.social, is Oliver McCormick. Congrats Oliver! (This is new intern Minx.)

Well, I received one box of Scott Nicolay's new novella _caterpillars_, but the second box is somewhere in the bowels of the USPS, last seen in Phoenix AZ. *sigh* So if you order now you still have a chance to win a copy of Scott's rare 2015 novella _after_. Only 23 copies of _caterpillars_ left!

33 copies of Scott Nicolay's brand new novella caterpillars left. Hope to have books in-house and ready to ship in about two weeks. Reminder: pre-orders will have a shot at winning a copy of Scott's 2015 novella, after, plus a set of the four Michael Bukowski prints that came with the 1st edition.

Happy New Year! We've posted a submission call for BIPOC writers only. We're looking to acquire one excellent horror/Weird fiction collection for our 2026 publishing calendar. Find details at this link, and if your collection is ready now, send it our way! cursedmorsels.com/submission-c...

Today is the day: pre-order is now open for caterpillars, a brand new novella by World Fantasy Award-winning author Scott Nicolay, with beautiful cover art by Matthew Jaffe. Limited to 150 copies. Books are expected to ship by the end of the year.

#lgbtqwriters @ghoulish.bsky.social is doing a #transwriter anthology for horror. Now is the time to submit. They are even taking reprint. ghoulish.rip/now-consider...

I sent a newsletter today with info on Scott Nicolay's forthcoming novella caterpillars, announcement of a new book, and a very brief comment on the return of T---p to the presidency. You can read it online here: bit.ly/3Zd13Bx

Pretty fucked up, NYT! The NYT Tech Guild is still on strike. Don't play the crossword!

I keep forgetting about Bluesky. There is news coming about future books, soon. In the meantime, please enjoy these pictures of Ripley and Sia.
