Almost halfway through dark ages. I get why it rubs ppl off the wrong way, but I'm liking it a lot. It's absolutely inferior to eternal in some key spots tho: eternal forced you to use your whole arsenal of weapons. Here, you can totally go through a lot of the game with the same one.

It’s not “forced on” it should be noted. It’s part of the game’s design just as much as pixel shaders were part of Half-Life 2. Which, by the way, what people are complaining about is akin to asking why HL2 doesn’t run on a Riva 128 or 3DFX Voodoo card. Same period of time.
