Running a series dedicated to finding a replacement for Andy Robertson at the moment. Second instalment went up this morning.

Free the pod, the pod is free with no squad rotation needed with @theanfieldwrap.bsky.social first-teamers @knoxharrington.bsky.social @robgutmann.bsky.social @mo-stewart.bsky.social and @distancecovered.bsky.social moving on from Plymouth to a painting Goodison red. youtu.be/px1MPWFtlN0?...

I’m on this weeks @distancecovered.bsky.social podcast, discussing the topics below. We also chat about the Ipswich game and look ahead to Bournemouth. distancecovered.substack.com/p/episode-04...

Congrats to @distancecovered.bsky.social on coining a new name for what Arteta’s Arsenal have become, namely, “Stoke-on-Steds.”

Can confirm Arne Slot will be writing a guest post on my Substack this week.

I'm on the latest @distancecovered.bsky.social talking the Forest match, Elliott's future, Alisson's relative struggles, a couple of transfer links and why Liverpool are still very much going to win the league.

Interesting blog from a Liverpool supporter on tonight’s #NFFC game. Summary: they’re worried about tonight but he still doesn’t think Forest will nick the league title. The game will be a test case. If we really are contenders, we should beat Liverpool this evening. If we can’t then we’re not.

I don’t usually write previews. But thought I’d have a look this week ahead of Liverpool’s clash with A̶t̶l̶e̶t̶i̶c̶o̶ M̶a̶d̶r̶i̶d̶ Nottingham Forest.

Wrote this last month. It feels relevant.

Given that it is Christmas, I have five gift subscriptions for one month to the (excellent) substacks of @andrewbeasleyfootball.com and @distancecovered.bsky.social. Anyone who would like to receive a free subscription drop me a line.

I’m on the new @distancecovered.bsky.social podcast. Josh and I discuss how Liverpool beat Spurs, the greatness of Szoboszlai, why the Reds’ defence is still ace and why Salah should win the Ballon D’or. Oh, and why Liverpool will win the league. Merry Christmas open.substack.com/pub/distance...

Talked a bit about this sort of thing when recording the @distancecovered.bsky.social podcast earlier… out soon.

Ait-Nouri is the correct opinion. @distancecovered.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjSz...

Watched the whole of this yesterday and it’s a really well-presented, smart and balanced analysis of Darwin Núñez’s time at Liverpool so far. Highly recommend.

I’ve only just found out you can’t post videos longer than 60 seconds on this platform. Not cool, so you’ll just have to imagine what else I say about Nunez.

If there’s one thing that’s pretty clear in the numbers, it’s that the pre and post Slot versions of Nunez are not the same. He’s different this season.

Interesting the part on his defensive stats. If you recall I’ve said a few times he’s over-compensating on his defensive actions. This is good btw from @distancecovered.bsky.social & @theredmentv.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXXP...

Filmed this video on Nunez with @theredmentv.bsky.social about five hours ago. It has 249 comments already. www.youtube.com/live/BXXP2PM...

Slot giving a shoutout to Miguel Gutierrez in his pre-Girona presser there. He’s good, and Liverpool will need to sign a left-back in 2025.

Me writing about suits instead of players again. Lots of upheaval going on around Liverpool.

Nice read on the behind the scenes ownership & organisational stuff from @distancecovered.bsky.social in his substack today.

Sixth.

Very disappointed to see Guardiola make the absolute correct move in dropping Ederson.
