We are juggling too many balls right now, but the below merits a referral to the HRC. If any of you want to, report it under the racial disharmony category. It would be a good test case for a hate speech case. Specifically, the "This is suicide via immigration" comment is highly actionable.

A better formulation would be that it is hard to explain to Māori tamariki how colonisers stole their land, interrupted their way of life, and disrespected their tikanga when political representatives continue to present white settler colonialism's violence as civilised behaviour.

This is literally the most ghoulish vicious violent troll army on the planet do not engage whatsoever , block even more enthusiastically than before

Maybe the only real reason peace has come on the heels of war in the past, is that it reduced the number of male voters? This isn’t flippant. But a question about whether the lessons of the 20th C are still relevant in modern times of gender ‘equity’.

God help us all.

It’s just clips of Harris laughing. It’s the most wholesome, joyous montage you’ll ever see and they think it’s a brilliant attack. They’ve built an echo chamber of sadism and have no idea what normal humans are like anymore.

Love this summary of my win by @hendysh.bsky.social and definitely borrowing some of these words for my new bio 😂: “Dr Siouxsie Wiles helped us beat a virus. She has just stared down a billion-dollar organisation that had lost its way. I have no idea what challenge she will take on next.”

Vindication for the wonderful Dr Siouxsie Wiles, Auckland University found in derelict to their duty to her as her employer when during her public services during Covid she received abuse and even death threats with no support from Auckland University. This is a victory for women too

Massive and repeated flooding in Switzerland. Thousands of heat related deaths in southeast Asia and the Middle East. What’s looking like an absolutely devastating hurricane about to hit the Caribbean. Welcome to Global Weirding, brought to you by a minority of companies + countries.

While many look to India's future, I'm drawn to its past. How will we write the history of the decade of #Hindutva dominance (2014–24) that unleashed hate, violence, and ignorance? I don't fully know, yet. But I share this recent documentary in which I feature. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQOf...

my elderly Egyptian Uber driver happily informed me that he “supports the gays now” because he lives with a lesbian couple and “the husband lesbian is a better husband than I was”, happy pride everyone

I regret to inform you that Modi and his cabal of Hindutva fascists are at it again

Again - we also have decades and decades of evidence to show that "watchful waiting" doesn't work, doesn't meaningfully reduce regret, and leads to horrible mental health outcomes - and death.

Saw this on a wall the other day

Watched "Web of Chaos" on TVNZ, was like a slow moving horror film. Ghastly.

This paper attempts to unpack how and why women become part of the Hindutva movement, and how many of them have tried to step out of the rigid patriarchal boundaries to further their political aspirations www.middlebury.edu/institute/ac...

Excellent piece on March 15 and the “moral and political imperative of remembering”, by Guled Mire.
